Application of fuzzy multisets to fuzzy database systems

Basic relations and operations of fuzzy multisets which are also called fuzzy bags are newly introduced and their theoretical properties are described using a grade sequence. Application of fuzzy multisets to fuzzy relational database systems is considered: handling of fuzzy multirelations and extension of a query language are discussed.
