Modelling and restoration of multilook correlated speckled images

A model for the speckle process is proposed based on the underlying phenomena, which can take into account correlation present in radar images. The restoration problem is then formulated using the Bayesian framework. The new model is found to give significantly better results for correlated speckled images as compared to models which disregard correlation.
