he x- Calculus

Yuxi Fu · 1997

The paper proposes a new process algebra, called xcalculus. The language differs from w-calculus in seueral aspects. First it takes a more uniform view on inpprt and output. Second, ihe closed names of the language is homogeneous in the sense that there as only one kind of bound names. Thirdly, the eflects of communications in X-calculus are delzmited by localazatzon operators, not by sequentiality combanator. Fznally, the language cherishes more freedom of parallelasm than Tcalculus. The algebraic propertzes of X-processes are studied in ierms of local bzsamulatzon. It zs shown that local bisimilarity as a congruence equivalence on x-processes.
