Summary The French vocabulary for operant conditioning has been poorly established to date, depending as it has on translations often of questionable homogeneity. The purpose of the present note is to offer some clarifications of this vocabulary by specifying definitions which are as univocal and operational as possible in terms of Skinner's original textes.
