Murewa digital telephone exchange project

A 600 line digital telephone exchange was installed at Murewa to replace an old manual magneto exchange. The project involved specification, systems planning, installation, acceptance tests and commissioning. The exchange was commissioned to interwork with the rest of the network via a digital microwave link. The end of the project brought about a transformation of telephone service at Murewa from manual working to full automatic working
