Applications of Excel in teaching Statistics

reprinted here with permission from the author. The aim of this paper is to describe the teaching of Statistics at Dalian Maritime University. Problems associated with traditional teaching activities are identified and a new teaching strategy using Excel is proposed. Several examples are also introduced to illustrate the usefulness of Excel in Statistics teaching.
