Aneurysma OP simulation by means of CT-angiography – possibilities of a tool based on PC for the OP preparation with patients with aneurysma of the brain
Steffen Reißberg, D Reiter · Klinische Neurophysiologie · 2008
The PC based tool was developed from the idea to use the good visualisation of the vascular structures as well as the osseous structures in the CT or the CT-angiography for the planning OP by means of 3D visualisation. Besides, the primary realisation the CT-angiography comes with patients with SAB to the proof of an aneurysma and the missing spatial relation of the digital subtraction angiography of the method too good ones. At first the records were tested by patients with aneurysma in the media bifurcation which are well accessible of a neuro-surgical therapy. The virtual craniotomie and the next virtual cliping of the Aneurysma move the surgeon into the position the OP individually in ahead to plan. The present results show a good acceptance with the neuro-surgical colleagues and could lead to the fact which is sufficient for the emergency-OP of a bled Aneurysma absolutely a CT-angiography with virtual OP planning. Then the exclusion of other Aneurysmen by means of digital subtraction angiography could occur in the interval. Purpose will be it to be able to work on records specific for patient immediately before OP with the tool to plan the OP virtually and to use the method for education purposes in the neurosurgery.
