Precision and semantics based fuzzy identification

We present a hybrid performance index for fuzzy identification. This hybrid index considers not only model precision but also some semantic constraints on inferred fuzzy sets. Box's (1970) furnace data are employed to demonstrate the precision-and-semantics-based approach for fuzzy identification.
