Model studies on mixtures of particles

Abstract The proportional standard deviation for a number of binary mixtures has been calculated. The mixtures are taken to have a basic cubic structure, each cube containing particles of one kind only. As the cubes contain progressively increasing numbers of particles, the mixture becomes less well mixed and the proportional standard deviation increases to a limiting value.
