Experience utilizing components of the software development system
Peter Chase Belford · 2005
This paper presents a discussion of experience gained in the utilization of several tools and techniques developed under the Software Development System (SDS), an integrated methodology for the development of large-scale real-time software systems. The SDS is a broad approach attacking problems arising in requirements generation, software design, coding, and testing. The basic methodology is formulated from a mathematical base, structuring the decomposition and definition of requirements from the data processing subsystem down through to the actual software coding and testing phase. SDS was developed under the direction of the Ballistic Missile Defense Advanced Technology Center (BMDATC).
