The Web services paradigm is expected to transformthe Web into a distributed application-to-applicationnetwork. The Web services landscape is in an evolvingstate with core specifications almost mature andgaining widespread acceptance. Yet for some specificWeb service concepts in-development specificationsexist. Despite this fact, organizations should start toutilize primary Web service standards to becomefamiliar with their distinguished opportunities inconnectivity and interoperability. The principal purposeof our study is to illustrate the challenges of Webservices adoption for real business use cases by asample financial Web service scenario and solution.
