Phase approximation via Remez algorithm

We consider an important aspect of rational modeling: phase approximation. An algorithm is developed to achieving optimal Chebyshev error where Remez algorithm is proved to be effective. Its applications to the design of recursive digital filters with linear phase are investigated.>
