Marcia S. Kemper, A. I. Hyman, A. Wald · 2005
We have developed a Critical Care Transport Unit (CCTU) for moving critically ill patients within the hospital. This unit carries a complete system of patient monitoring and life support equipment, all battery powered, along with other life support supplies. A back-up e merge ncy batte rylge nerator can recharge the batteries of the individual components. The unit consists of two sub-assemblies that join together by means of a unique locking mechanism. This unit has provided life support and monitoring for patients during transport and while undergoing diagnostic procedures.
