The development of the Low-Rate Wireless Sensor Network(LR-WSN)is matures gradually and the characteristics of LR-WSN included low date rate, low power consumption and low volume…etc. For the application of emergency cases, like calamity detection of the mudflows and landslides, according to earthquake sounds and the humidity of the soil, the detection sensors is in very low date rate state in most of the time and need to transmit data frequently. Hence, the algorithms in this paper are proposed for control the data rate and to find a balance between performance and power consumption to achieve the goal of extending battery life.
