Detecting Critical Nodes for Efficient Network Vulnerability Management
Jinho Lee, Sung‐Jin Yoon, Sunghak Kim, Seongjin Ahn · 2009
This paper suggests methods that find the critical nodes of a network based on service traffic volume, service traffic type and articulation nodes. We utilize our own decision metric based on the method of multiplying traffic volume by its service weight and then adding the articulation node weight. As a result, we can find which node is more important than others. Finding the critical nodes based on the service traffic flow method proposed in this study will be applicable to a complex network. Consequently, we can enhance the efficiency of network security management.
