Application of linear programming software tools to ATM/SDH traffic management

A lower level hierarchical planning model is presented for traffic management of an SDH/ATM network. A review of basic linear programming terminology with reference to modern decision support systems is given. The principal path and capacity allocation (PCA) model is explained and an example and results presented.
