A two-stage synchronization technique for OFDM

A two-stage synchronization technique for OFDM is described and some simulated results of its performance are presented. These show the tendency of schemes based on correlation to pick a late timing point, which can cause degraded performance. The reasons behind this are analysed and a simple improvement is suggested.
