Experiences in asynchrony

The design and implementation of systems including independent and specific organs, as processors, storage units and I/O devices, bring up the fundamental problem of the information exchange between asynchronous organs. Report is made of experimental work followed up from four years, on different kinds of clusters and on two asynchronous exchange mechanisms adapted to them.
