An Efficient Storage Server For Near Video-on-demand Systems

An efficient storage server with a novel data placement scheme for near video-on-demand systems is presented. The proposed storage server exploits the periodical broadcast property of a NVOD system, and the disk seek is almost eliminuted so that the disk throughput can be promoted to a great extent.
