Simulation of heterogeneous materials based on micro mechanics plays a major role in developing new material systems. This paper presents the study of shear-wave propagation in bi-laminated composite materials with imperfect interfaces. The two-scale homogenisation method is combined with micromechanics to make clear the degree of influence of the local properties and the arrangement of constituents on the macroscopic behaviour not only of the material, but also of the complex structures. Numerical examples show that, as the interface stiffness decreases, the system is more dispersive.
