Status of freshly consumable corn industrialization and countermeasures for its development in Guangxi.

The present paper analyzes the current status of freshly consumable corn and its industrialization in Guangxi.Some constraints have been identified for the industrialization of freshly consumable corns which included fewer processed corn products,production of corns at small-scale,shortage of brand awareness and market development capability,unavailability of high-quality corn varieties,less popularization of cultivation technology for production of freshly consumable corn,deficiency in capacity against natural disasters,high-risk in planting,etc.In order to promote the development of freshly consumable corn,several countermeasures have been discussed in this paper which were as follows:strengthening support for freshly consumable corn industrialization,perfecting freshly consumable corn industry chain,attaching importance to optimize and extend the high-quality cultivation technology of freshly consumable corn,implementing quality standard system for processing agricultural products,enhancing propaganda of freshly consumable corn to increase people's awareness of freshly consumable corn,etc.
