Paraphrasing use case descriptions and Sequence Diagrams: An approach with tool support

Paul A. J. Mason, S. Supsrisupachai · 2009

Scenarios are an effective means of eliciting stakeholder requirements. Experience shows that users find it easier to understand real-life examples expressed in natural language than they do diagrammatic models, even though they dasiasaypsila the same thing. In contrast, UML's status as the de facto industry standard is testament to the popularity of graphical techniques among engineers. This dasiaconflictpsila can be addressed by paraphrasing the original natural language requirements in model form. Clearly the conversion process needs to be systematic; this paper proposes an isomorphic basis for representing scenarios and sequence diagrams such that after eliciting and agreeing stakeholder needs in text form, a scenario can be paraphrased automatically into a graphical dasiaequivalentpsila.
