Object tracking using adaptive color Snake model
Kap-Ho Seo, Ju-Jang Lee · 2004
An active contour model, Snake, was developed as a useful segmenting and tracking tool for rigid or non-rigid objects by Kass in 1987. Snake is designed on the basis of Snake energies. Segmenting and tracking can be executed successfully by the process of energy minimization. In this paper, a novel scheme for object contour extraction and object tracking is proposed. By designing the snake which uses information about the gradient magnitude and color, our approach provides the improvement of the capability to detect the desired color object without any preprocessing. The essential idea is to design the snake node to track the color adaptively.
