Visual programming in a X Windows workstation environment

The concept of visual programming, merged with contemporary user interfaces for workstations has tremendous potential to transform non high level programmers into visual programmers.Furthermore, visual programming provides an excellent prototyping environment, one which allows the user to intuitively grasp difficult concepts.In this paper we describe our visual programming environment, termed Eyes, and explain how we intend to apply it towarcl eclucation.
