When and when not to use fuzzy logic in industrial control
G. Chen, G. Kairys · 2002
The design of a fuzzy logic control system is an experimental process. Indicators for when and when not to use fuzzy logic control for industrial automation are cued from considerations of application examples. Fuzzy logic control is indicated and shown to be practical where the process/plant is complex nonlinear and operator-dependent. The technology can be introduced gradually by using fuzzy inference output as artificial intelligence to assist the operator's decision making.>
