Using a Simulated Site to Teach Data Analysis in Archaeology

The author describes a hands‐on laboratory to use with simulated (teaching) archaeology sites. Students play the role of professional archaeologists in analyzing artifacts and ecofacts and in writing a “site report” based on their excavation and analysis.
