A simulation study of a machine interference problem with M machines under the care of N operators having two types of stoppage

The machine interference problem has been studied by many authors utilizing either analytical models, simulation models, or a mixture. In this study it was determined by a simulation that a complex two-stoppage interference model with N operators and M machines could be approximated by a one-stoppage analytical model with N operators and M machines.
