Image Capturing Using the Data Translation Frame Grabber

The ability to analyze visual data requires a representation of the image that can be manipulated and processed by a host computer. The Data Translation 2851 frame grabber provides the transformation of a three-dimensional scenery to a two-dimensional array of integers. The internal structure and functions of the frame grabber will be presented to gain an understanding of how a numeric representation of the image, used by a variety of image processing techniques, is dervived.
