A distributed arithmetic MFIR filter

Fred J. Taylor · IEEE Transactions on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing · 1984

The design of high-order FIR filters is considered in the context of speed and complexity. It is shown that by using the multiplicative form of the FIR and the distributed filter architecture, high-order high-speed filters can be designed which have significantly reduced hardware and circuit board requirements.
