A new pocket-size cellular telephone for NTT high-capacity land mobile communication system

NTT has developed a pocket-size telephone whose volume and weight are 150 c/sup 3/ and 230 g, respectively. The design concept, miniaturization techniques, configuration, and performance characteristics of the telephone are presented. It is pointed out that this telephone also has high speech quality and an excellent man-machine interface.>
