On the sensitivity of direct form and nested structures of FIR filters

The sensitivity analysis of nested structures of FIR filters is extended to show that direct-form structures have sensitivities identical to those of the nested structures. The key to having identical coefficient sensitivity is to use the same scale representation for the coefficients.>
