Of particular interest to the classification technique is the intermediate case when the target size is cmnsurate with the ,radar cell. For this case a specific classification procedure is developed by using the method proposed in this paper. me radar signals used for the classificatlon are obtained from a X-band marine navigation radar operating in the standard mode. me algorittm for processing the signal received from the radar cell with target includes the transformdtion of this Signal with respect to the radar pulse shape and antenna pattern. The proposed classification method is based on a random matrix with target called signature. With this matrix we calculate one classification paraneter, the statistical characteristics o f which form the classification scale.
