Knowledge Acquisition from Optimization Results of Electromagnetic Systems

This paper describes methods for acquisition of useful knowledge from optimization results of electromagnetic systems. Optimization of those systems on the basis of field computation often yields many quasi-optimal solutions which satisfy given criterion. In this study, such solutions are classified into clusters using the hierarchic method, principal component analysis and self-organizing map to extract useful knowledge for designers about them
