3D wire-frame object-modeling experiments for video surveillance
Rgj Rob Wijnhoven · 2010
We consider model-based object detection for traffic surveillance, aiming at object classification. Within detected regions-of-interest (ROIs) of moving objects in the scene, the orientation of the object is detected using a histogram of gradient directions. For the calculated orientation, a 3D wire-frame model is projected onto the image data and the best matching pixel-position is calculated inside the ROI of the object. 1
