Hydrologic Modeling Based On Remote Sensing And GIS Technologies

Cheng-Hua Leu · 2005

This study uses SPOT satellite image data to recognize watershed land use characteristics and DTM model to analyze topographic features and thus builds up watershed geographic data base. A GIS software ARC/INFO is used to obtain the required parameters from the data base and applied to HEC-1 hydrologic modeling. result shows that remotely sensed data combined with GIS technologies can be quite useful in hydrologic modeling.
