In this contributory paper, we have tried to make a comprehensive study on the impact of multiple transparent re- laying and channel equalization scheme on performance evaluation of a dual-hop multi-branch AF relaying protocol based MIMO SC-FDMA wireless communication system. The 2-by-2 spatially multiplexed FEC encoded MIMO SC-FDMA system under investigation incorporates three transparent relaying and a low-complexity channel equalization schemes under various digital modulations. From MATLAB based simulated study on encrypted synthetic data and color image transmission, it is found a quite noticeable impact on deploying multiple transparent relays on system performance enhancement of the presently con- sidered MIMO SC-FDMA system. The system is also capable of showing its robustness in retrieving transmitted data over hostile ultipath fading channels in a scenario of thickly populated urban area where there is little or no scope of direct send- er-destination link.
