Iris Recognition Implementing Forward Backward HMM GRASP and Tabu Search
Vicky Nair, Jubilant J. Kizhakethottam · 2007
This paper presents an iris recognition algorithm which is specially designed for system implementation. By the use of this algorithm the search is very fast compared to other existing algorithms. The algorithm is particularly useful for implementing compact iris recognition devices. The algorithms use the Hidden Marcov Model techniques to regenerate and extract the iris image according to the requirements of the algorithm. The heuristic techniques of tabu search and GRASP are employed to find a solution and to check the quality of the selected solution.
