Research on distributed transmission of power telecontrol information based on ACSI/MMS

This paper introduces the problems existing in the current communication protocols for power telecontrol system. A communication network structure for power telecontol system based on abstract communication service interface(ACSI) in IEC 61850 and manufacturing message specification (MMS) is proposed. To solve the compatibility of the existing power telecontrol system with new ones based on IEC 61850, a communication scheme based on ACSI/MMS gateway has been put forward. Combined with the requirement of power telecontrol communication, a real-time communication software for power telecontrol system is implemented applying a subset of MMS and OSI protocol stack. The validity and feasibility of the proposed models and methods have been proven through developing and testing a prototype system.
