A Signal-processing Interpretation of the Riemann Zeta Function

Robert W. Adams · 2006

The paper presents a signal-processing model of the Riemann zeta function (and other related functions), and shows how the Riemann hypothesis (RH) can be re-cast as a signal-processing problem. This study also yields a new signal-processing paradigm that we call "discrete log-time systems". These systems differ in many fundamental ways from their conventional discrete-time cousins, and their study leads one to a fascinating world at the intersection of signal-processing and number theory.
