Spider: an investigation in collaborative technologies and their effects on network performance
Rodney Perkins · 2002
The author describes the Spider project, an investigation in collaborative technologies underway in the Advance Technology Group at Apple Computer. Spider combines emerging communications technologies with information management and behavioral science analysis of workflow processes. Integrated into the Spider system are teleconferencing facilities, screen sharing capabilities, and a variety of meeting support tools. The design of the Spider system and the implications its collaborative applications place on emerging network standards, protocols, and topologies are considered.>
