Writing a roll‐out‐roll‐in facility for small machines
C. A. Bowring · Software Practice and Experience · 1973
Abstract This paper describes some routines to save the current contents of the main memory of a small computer, activate any other program (e.g. a file enquiry program, or a batch stream) and later restore the original program. In the description attention is paid to those aspects of the implementation that gave some difficulty and how they were overcome.
