Microprogramming with statements of higher-level languages

Current m i c r o p r o g r a m m i n g languages appear difficult to use outside the development laboratories.The increasing user interest demands other forms of microprogramming.A notation resembling the familiar statements of higher-level programming languages might prove especially useful in this situation.Ways and means ~or providing such a microprogramming technique are explored in this paper.
