A programming environment for automatic mapping of process topology in a distributed multiprocessor
肇 飯塚, Satoshi Kojima · 2002
The authors describe a trial implementation of a programming environment for automatically mapping a process topology onto a hardware configuration for the nCUBE2 distributed memory parallel computer. The system under development allows a user to write his program with the processor interconnection topology he likes to use. The information concerning interconnection of static processes may be specified separately from the program itself. Using this information, communication functions in each program are automatically converted into nCUBE2 standard functions which explicitly specify hardware logical processor numbers. While the overhead of this system depends on the amount of data sent, it is no more than a few percent when 1 kbyte or more are transmitted.>
