Direct design of spatio-temporal preprocessors for direction estimation of wideband sources

The authors formulate the direct design of focusing filters, a one-step filter coefficient computation procedure which avoids explicit evaluation of the frequency response. Various aspects of the proposed design technique are discussed. Simulation results are presented to substantiate its effectiveness.>
