This paper presents a method of lens shading correction based on color channel independency. In existing algorithms, it is assumed that all color channels have a same lens shading effect. However each color channel can be different from others. Proposed method of lens shading correction considers processing in each color channel. In this paper, through 3D graph analysis, ellipse is used as model of lens shading correction to produce a more reliable compensation curve. The proposed algorithm results in well balanced image in each color channel as well as more improved lens shading correction.
