Distinguishing Attacks on Sober-t32

The Sober-t32 stream cipher is a design by G. Rose and P. Hawkes. It is a candidate stream cipher in the NESSIE competition. In this paper two ways of mounting distinguishing attacks on Sober- t32 are elaborated. Both attacks are more e-cient than exhaustive key search. The flrst attack has a complexity of 2 200 , the second attack has a complexity of2 153 .
