Interconnecting the CDN Sites

Dinesh Chandra Verma · 2002

Chapter 6 discusses the different types of inter-connection arrangements that can be created between the different sites that make up a content distribution network (CDN). Issues that arise in using a secondary private network to connect different CDN sites, as well as optimizations that can enable CDN sites to communicate efficiently on a shared network, are considered. Techniques of configuration management, data management, and security management in geographically dispersed CDN sites are examined.
