SOME NOTES ON EXPERIMENTAL WORK IN PHYSICAL ELECTRONICS
G. Mayo · Technical Education and Industrial Training · 1964
THE GROWING importance of semi-conductor and thermionic devices has led to the introduction of these topics at an increasingly early stage in electrical engineering courses. Whilst this seems advantageous from many points of view, a clear understanding of the fundamental physical principles underlying thermionic and semiconductor action is rarely established at this stage.
