AWearable Inertial Sensor System for HumanMotion Analysis
Yoshio INOUE, Xueyan Tang · 2005
Toanalyze themulti-dimension motionof humanfoot during walking, awearable inertial sensor system isproposed. Inthis system, twogyroscopes (ENC-05EB) were usedtomeasureangular velocities inx-andy-directions, andan accelerometer (ADXL202) was usedtomeasure acceleration inx-andy-directions respectively. Furthermore, a fuzzyinference system(FIS) was developed forthe calculation ofthegait phases derived fromsensors' outputs. A digital filter wasalsodesigned toremovenoises fromofthe outputofthefuzzyinference system, whichenhances robustness ofthesystem. Finally, experimental study was conducted, anda wearable mechanism withthesensors system wasconstructed todetect gait phases ofthenormal humanwalking.
