Neural network trends for frequency control: a review
B. Hivert, R. Brendel · 2002
The purpose of this paper is first, to give the reader a comprehensive "state of the art" in the neural networks field, then to discuss what kind of help such processing techniques may bring in the frequency control area. So, we will give basic considerations about neural networks, explaining their principle. Then, we will show how they work and what kind of task they might perform, principally from the point of view of function approximation and pattern recognition. We will use this background to show some applications and to be critical on how neural networks may be used. Then, a review of frequency control fields where neural networks may be applied will be presented. In order to let the reader make up their own opinion, particular attention will be paid to the literature.
